01-12-2009
The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) is planning to start its new electronic options platform, called C2, in August, Reuters reports. It hopes to file the application for C2 to be a self regulatory organization with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission within 1.5 months.
C2 is projected to compliment CBOE’s hybrid platform, which features both electronic and open auction trading of options. It will trade all of CBOE’s existing products.
