Apache has acquired nine oil and gas fields in the Permian basin, Upstream Online reports. The company has bought the assets from Marathon Oil for $181.1 million.
It purchased the fields in Lea County, New Mexico and three Texas counties, along with Marathon’s interests in Pecos County, Texas. Apache is an oil and gas exploration and production company with operations in the U.S., Canada, Egypt, the U.K. North Sea, Australia and Argentina.
