Conduit Capital Partners is planning to finance a 60MW diesel-fired expansion of its 125MW barge-mounted Old Harbour Bay plant in Jamaica with a combination of debt and equity.
The private equity firm is talking to FirstCaribbean Bank and the International Finance Corporation ahead of finalizing a financing plan later this year.
The firm very recently reacquired Old Harbour Bay and the planned expansion via its acquisition of Jamaica Energy Partners (JEP) from Basic Energy: Conduit sold JEP to Basic Energy in 2007 for $92.5 million.
