Mercer has appointed Katharine Photiou as a principal in its strategic benefits consulting and delivery team, Professional Pensions reports. She will focus on revamping the benefit packages that Mercer’s customers provide to their employees.

Photiou was previously U.K. corporate strategy manager at Friends Provident Life & Pensions. At Friends Provident, she developed employee benefits strategy and corporate platform wraps covering pensions, savings and healthcare offerings.
