Over the past 13 years, the Mutual Fund Industry Awards Dinner and Ceremony has become the premier celebration and networking event for the mutual fund industry, growing in attendance and prominence each year. Last year's gala dinner hosted over 330 leaders and luminaries from every facet of the mutual fund industry and this year's dinner is expected to enjoy an even greater turnout. The awards are given by the editors of Institutional Investor's Fund Action and Fund Directions newsletters - the leading publications covering the U.S. mutual fund industry - to the fund leaders, marketers, trustees and independent counsel who have made significant impacts on the fund industry over the previous year.
Nominees were announced in the following categories in the January 1 issue of Fund Directions and the January 8 issue of Fund Action , along with Lifetime Achievement Award Winners. Award winners were announced during the ceremony on March 8, 2007.

In February, nominees were announced for an inaugural award that will recognize outstanding use of technology within mutual fund firms. The winners were announced and awarded at the awards dinner on March 8th.
